At Maccabim, we believe a rich and stimulating Hebrew environment will help students to build up their Hebrew language skills.
We recognize that each child is unique, and our classrooms offer an atmosphere where individual strengths, learning styles and needs are supported and celebrated.
Our staff is comprised of Israeli teachers who offer students opportunities to learn Hebrew naturally.
Our spiral curriculum builds a solid foundation of Hebrew language skills. We use an Ivrit B’Ivrit approach to teach modern Hebrew.
Our students are divided into classes based on their age and their Hebrew language proficiency levels. While in the classroom, students work in small groups, which helps to develop strong listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Hebrew. Each teacher has an assistant (a student volunteer), which ensures that each child will receive personal attention and guidance.
Every child will enjoy a variety of enrichment classes, such as art, music and gym. Around the holidays and special events, they will also engage in drama, creative writing, sports, cooking and singing.
All classes are taught in Hebrew and allow students to experience the Hebrew language and Israeli culture first-hand. Our programs make the entire process of learning the Hebrew language a fun-filled and exciting experience.
